The opponents in the high-definition DVD format war of standard are HD DVD and Blu-ray. Searching the web you’ll find bags of comments and analysis concerning the pros and cons of both formats. At the CES LG announced to launch a “calumet” – a multi-format player called BH100.
Is this the first step towards peace? A likely story!
Warner also started a try to win this war: Total HD Disc – a “merge format” which can be used with HD DVD and Blu-ray players. Is this the future standard we all will use in a couple of years?
