This week the 3GSM World Congress takes place in Barcelona. In this setting Polymer Vision announces it’s mobile device “Readius” with a rollable touch screen display. It has also been nominated for “The most innovative Technology Development”-Award. In co-operation with Telekom Italia the company want’s to market the first commercial model in 2007.

This precursor product still seems to be a bit clumsy to really benefit from the value of a rollable display, but it let us hope for the future. Maybe we’ll have a small mobile device one day that can be used with a small preview display for daily activities on the one hand and with the rolled out bigger display to surf the web, read documents and so on.
