Japanese scientists managed to “save” Einstein’s E=MC^2 to the DNA of the bacillus subtilis, a bacterium commonly found in soil.

Besides the obvious fact that this “biological storage media” would definitly have a great advantage because of it’s amazing small size, the bacteria has a second benefit: each time it reproduces itself it also makes a “backup” of the data.
So maybe one day biological storage systems will solve all archiving issues.
