At MIT World you can watch a stream video of Richard K. Templeton (President and Chief Executive Officer, Texas Instruments) speaking about “Building Technology that Matters: Global Opportunities in Engineering“.
One of his central conclusions is summarized in the lecture notes as follows: The convergence of electrical engineering and life sciences will create a robust area for product development. Templeton envisions such equipment as portable, low power, and low cost ultrasound machines, capable of operating in remote villages, or implantable devices to diagnose and monitor an individual’s health.

Really interessting and diverting to watch!

I’ve considered to rename my category “interesting to read” in order to fit for podcasts, streams and so on but finally I decided to stay retro ;-)
